Accounting expert for SAP Development team

YOUR JOB

The job will include an extensive enablement period where you will learn about the relevant Accounting standard, and get a deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA Financial Products Subledger solution, Insurance processes, and procedures in your future team.

After the enablement, you will support the development and maintenance of SAP S/4HANA Financial Products Subledger solution owned by SAP Fioneer. This role will be closely integrated with the work of Technical Consultants i.e. developers. You will interpret, understand and translate functional requirements from clients or from the product roadmap, and work with technical colleagues on implementing and testing them. You will support and resolve customer inquiries related to the business aspect of the solution.  Your role will be supported by a local Product Owner and connected to other agile, development teams across Europe and North America.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven knowledge in financial accounting and reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills are mandatory
  • Knowledge of IFRS standards is preferred (IFRS9 and IFRS17 preferred)
  • Understanding of Banking and/or Insurance domain is preferred
  • Understanding of US GAAP and any other GAAP is a plus
  • Knowledge of SQL is a plus
  • Experience in implementation projects in SAP ERP environment is a plus, or as end-user in SAP FI
  • Knowledge of agile implementation methodology is a plus
  • Excellent analysis, problem-solving, communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently with a high sense of responsibility
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with international teams and clients
  • Fluent in written and verbal English and Serbian

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of experience in financial accounting and/or SAP FI
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Finance/Economics/Banking
